2011 Encoder is not accepting 22551,22552 (C-5,C-6) with peek cages at both levels 22851,22851-59 and anterior plate at C5,C6 & C7?

Ask Us a Question: 2011 Encoder is not accepting 22551,22552 (C-5,C-6) with peek cages at both levels 22851,22851-59 and anterior plate at C5,C6 & C7?

There are no CCI edits bundling these codes so not sure why Encoder Pro won't accept them.

spinal procedures

procedures attempting to code are usual for my surgeon:

C5-6, C6-7 anterior cervical diskectomy with decompression. 7mm cages both levels with autograft & Atlantis plate C5, C6 & C7.

In 2010 would have coded: 63075, 63076, 22554, 22585, 22845, 22851, 22851-59 & 20936. ( not necessarily in that order).

Wondering if new description in 2011 for 63075, 63076 stating not to report with 22554 is correct? States to report 22551 or 22552 for anterior cervica diskectomy and interbody fusion same level same session. Does not make sense to me.

22551 and 22552 have not been updated on some Workers comp, make sure the insurance you are billing has the system update.
