Lupron injection one month vs 3 month

We are loosing money by the handful billing the J9217 x4. We give 30 mg dose for a 3 month injection. We are a pediatric endocrinology practice and only one of two in our State so families travel long distances. We give the 3 month injection to save the family a monthly trip.

Reimbursment is less than half of our cost.

The drug rep said the HCPCS reimbursment is not correct but didn't offer any help.

Does anyone else bill J9217 in muliptle units and get paid at least enough to cover your cost?

We bill lupron in 3 month intervals are you doing the J9217 x 3 units?? We get paid well over the invoice rate.
