abdominal pain emergency care?
i recently was speaking to a csr from BCBS regarding a claim that processed as emergent care instead of primary care/sick visit. the primary diagnosis was 789.00. i know that is an unspecified code but could that be why the claim processed as emergency?
i am already in process to appeal claim but was wondering if anyone else has come accross this

What was your place of service. Could it have been ER? 789.00 is not good but should not have processed as emergent care.

it was in the office.yes i agree not specific enough but didnt know if anyone else came accross this issue.
