Medicare Preventive Codes
I know this has been talked to death but here it goes
An established or new patient comes in for breast pelvic pap or without pap
and while in the exam room doctor finds fibrocystic breast changes and atrophic vaginitis and refills or first time precscription for it.
Can codes be charged as G0101 if pap Q0091 and 99213-25 for fibrocystic changes and atrophic vaginitis for refill on meds?

re: Medicare Preventive Codes
Yes you can. I work for an OB/GYN. Many times our Medicare patients will come in for their breast, pap and pelvic exams and have a problem they want the physician to address. I have billed the office visit with modifier 25 and Medicare does pay in conjunction with the G0101 and Q0091. Hope this helps.
