Category II codes

I'm not familiar with Category II codes, are we able to use them? are they payable code?, how do we use them? Thanks

Category II codes are quality data codes. There are also HCPCS codes that are quality data codes. Both are used for PQRS. They have no separate reimbursement.

Category III codes are temporary codes.
