Reprogramming a programmable shunt in office - 62252.26

Our neurosurgeon reprogrammed a programmable shunt in the office in the post op period for a Medicare patient. We coded 62252.26. Medicare denied "The procedure code type is inconsistent with the place of service." We did not bill for a FU visit since this was done in the global period. How can I bill for the reprogramming to Medicare and get paid? Help is appreciated.
