CMS clinical lab fee schedule has a fee with and w/o the modQW. I'll still say no for the hospital technical billing.

QW is not a payment modifier. It is an informational modifier therefore it would not be in the fee schedule.

Agreed it is informational, but it does appear in the fee schedule. As far as a hospital goes billing the technical the QW is not appropriate.

bsergi you are correct. It is on the fee schedule. Don't know about hospital billing.
