preventive code

I don't know what procedure code must be used with V72.31 for pap smear ,I am so confused .shouls I use 9939x OR 9938x OR G codes/s codes??????

You would only use the G codes for Medicare. Use the 9938x for a new patient and use 9939x for your establish patients.
