Can I code 52353 twice?

My question is can I code 52353 x2 if Lithotripsy was performed in the ureter and then in the Kidney? Should I consider the ureter and Kidney 2 separate locations?
The physicians description in the procedure report says: laser lithotripsy of a 5mm left lower third stone and subsequent second procedure for a ureteroscopic laser lithotripsy fo an 8mm lerft midpole stone.

re: Can I code 52353 twice?

Seems like code 50590 (Lithotripsy) would be more appropriate for the procedure performed on the kidney (in my opinion). Code 52353 would apply for the cysto done in the ureter, however, you will need to use a modifier on 52353 to bill them both together.

***Edited because I didn't really answer your question. 52353 isn't a global code so theretically you could bill it 2x. It also can be billed bilaterally.
