Global denial
I have a pt who came is and the dr removed actinic keratosis, but they were also sick. They had pharyngitis and URI. I billed an office visit 99212 mod 25 and procedure 17000. The dx were seperated out. He came back in 8 days later because his URI and the pharyngitis were not getting better and the insurance denied the claim as a global surgical office visit. How do I correct this? Please help and thank you!!

The office visit 8 days later needed a -24 modifier because 17000 has a 10 day global.
