can I bill CPT® code 63661 and 10060 together with diagnosis code 998.59 for IP or OP hosptial?

Code 63661 is not on the list for inpatient only procedures. You are billing for a complication (postoperative infection). You are also billing an I&D of a simple abscess along with emoval of neurostimulator electrodes. There are no CCI edits to prohibit both codes. As with all surgical procedures, I do not make final code recommendations unless I see the operative note and look at the work performed and documented. Each payer will have final say as to the I&D.
