ICD-9 codes

After billing Medicare for 97026GP (Infrared Therapy), using 71946 as the DX, we were denied payment, claiming the DX didn't go with the procedure. I called Medicare to clarify and was told that they were having an issue with this DX code. They would contact me with a resolution. Has anybody else had this problem?
