New Provider Contracting

I need help with a new provider. Our practice only has contracts with Medicare and Medicaid. We do receive payments from Commercial Insurance but they are out of network. We just had a new ARNP start with us. I sent a claim to BCBS but they said she does not have a provider number with them. I started the paperwork to obtain a BCBS provider number for her and then got reamed out because we have never filled out any paperwork in the past for other providers. I am being told that there is another code or someway to bill under my primary provider. Please Help!!
