Need place of service

HELLO, My provider is Obstetrics & Gynecology we billed admit(99223) & cesarean(59515) same day in hopital we used place of service 23. Is it correct or not. If patien emergency and also we can use any modifier. Any help would be greatly apprecitated thank you.

The C/S global includes admit & discharge under "normal" course of care. And C/S should warrant POS 21 (inpatient), as the patient will typically be in the hospital for more than 23 hours.

The place of service codes are listed in the front of the CPT® book.

I agree with the previous commenter that the admission is not separately reportable. Look at the editorial comments in the CPT® book at the start of the maternity section to see what services are included in the maternity package.
