Choanal Atresia

Does the procedure 30540 (repair of choanal atresia; intranasal) include if this was performed via endoscope? The lay description does not specify and I cannot find this anywhere.

You may have to use an unlisted CPT® code??? I, too could not find any information concerning the endoscopic approach! I hope you find what you need :)

That's what the physician is billing, along with a septoplasty and bilateral inferior turbinate outfracturing. I am leaning towards the unlisted but now my question is would the septoplasty be included in this procedure. I have sent a query to 2 of my resources so hopefully I get an answer soon. Thank you so much for your help! It's hard to get an answer from here sometimes but it's probably because my questions are really hard. LOL
