Go442 and g0444

What icd9 code would you use for G0442 and G0444? I tried using V79.1 and V79.0 and got denied with MCR Blue Advantage. It went to the patient's responsibility. Any suggestions?

maybe try 305.0x (alcohol abuse) needs 5th digit, and/or 303.9x (alcohol dependence syndrome) needs 5th digit - I would use the V79.1 as the last diagnosis not primary... just my thoughts...

These are screening tests, a diagnosis code is not accepted--will be a V code, question payer.

per CMS' Quick Reference Chart for Preventive Services, this is what is says beside both of the codes: "no specific diagnosis code, contact the local Medicare Contractor for guidance"
