CPT® code for FBS

We always billed 82947 QW for FBS testing.....our new computer system is rejecting stating it is not a valid code? I am unaware of it being changed or deleted? Is it still a valid code? If not what code should I be using? Thanks!

Are you using reagent strips?

If this being performed in the office and you own the equipment then you must have a CLIA number on the claim when billing with QW.

82947 Glucose; quantitative, blood (except reagent strip)
82948 Glucose; blood, reagent strip
