if a patient is seen for an office visit (e/m level) and also a therapeutic injection on the same day should we use the administration code 96372 for the injection?

I hope they're done changing the injection/infusion codes, aren't you?
Both can be billed. I just checked the NCCI edits, and 96372 and 99211 cannot be billed together, with any modifier.
It shows the other established visit codes and 96372 as bundled, requiring a modifier. It says, "99213 is a component of Column 1 code 96372 but a modifier is allowed in order to differentiate between the services provided." So, I guess you'll need a 25 modifier on the office visit.

If a significant separately identifiable evaluation and management (E & M) service is performed, the appropriate E & M service code should be reported utilizing modifier 25 on the E/M service code when code 96372 ( Therapeutic, prophylactic, or diagnostic injection (specify substance or drug); subcutaneous or intramuscular,") is also performed. Code 96372 requires Direct Physician Supervision, physician in office suite when administered.
