Pulse Ox

Does anyone know the Medicaid billings policy for code "94760" pulse ox in the state of Arkansas? Per fee schedule, it is a payable code.

Medicare will not pay unless it is ONLY service performed. Look to your State Medicaid manual for rules on Pulse Ox

re: Pulse Ox

I just bought a pulse oximeter at Walmart for $35. Compared it to my $500 office machine and perfectly accurate. As Nancy said, payment is part of E&M code as a vital sign.

re: Pulse Ox

Example, pt seen for asthma, HTN, diabetes, malaise & fatigue, I was told that pulse ox would be billable due to asthma, fatigue and to append a mod -59 to 94760. I'm getting diff answers, confused. I do know that it is also billable when it is ONLY one done same day. Also, Dr performs a PFT. To make it short, if there's a dx code that warrants for the pulse ox, would it be still considered as a bundled?

re: Pulse Ox

Would it be billed: 99213-25..25002, 4010. 49302, 78079.
94060: 49302
94760-51: 49302, 78079?
