Residents helping with ER visits and consultations in the hospital

When we have a resident that helps our doctors (Oral surgeons) see patients in the ER and does consultations at the hospital are the charges billed under the supervising physician? Is there an article out there that I can refer to about this? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Put the search term "teaching physician" in the search box and you'll find articles about E/M services, surgeries, medical students, etc.
