Boto Injection (J0587) Fee

We currently have a new gastro doctor who is doing botox injection on anal fissure. Can anybody please tell me how other practices are billing for the Injection, Rimabotulinumtoxinb (J0587), 100 Units and if they are getting paid? Dr. paid $532 for the injection. Thank you.

re: Boto Injection (J0587) Fee

you will need a prior-auth with some Payers to give this injection. Depending on the specific payer contract it may or may not be included in a surgical procedure.
100 units would = 1 billed unit. Looks like MCR pays separately from surgical procedure.

Thank you for the reply. Are there any reference that someone can share if this code really gets paid? All I know is that the administration gets paid but I'm not sure of the injection.
