Basics Of Medical Billing & Coding

Hi, I had just entered into this profession of medical billing and coding(a few months back) without any training, so where can I get to learn some basics of medical billing and coding(websites). Thanks in advance

Basics of Billing/Coding

You should become members of AAPC and AHIMA (you would gain valuable information about the industry). Attend chapter meetings as well. I would also suggest purchasing Step by Step coding by Carol Buck - it's an excellent resource. Many schools use this text to "teach" coding. Comprehensive Billing, Reimbursement and Coding by Vines (Pearson pub) is a good resource for billing and reimbursment as well.... ( I use to teach billing and coding).

Join listservs and reputable coding sites - HCPro, BC Advantage. Hope this helps.
