90471 administration for Flu vaccine, Pneumo vaccine?
Hi
I entered 90471 for administration of Flu vaccine and pneumo vaccine. Do I need to change it to G0008, G0009? or do they allow 90471?.

The G codes are for billing to Medicare.

For Medicare, you need to use G0008 as the admin code for the flu shot and G0009 as the admin code for the pneumonia vaccine. If you are giving both injections on the same day, use V06.6 as your dx.
For commercial insurance, you can use 90471.
