26/TC modifier

My question is this. I work in a specialists office we own our own flouriscopic machine when coding the 77003 it is listed twice once with the TC modifier and again with the 26 modifier. We are having problems with this coming back as duplicates, until we call the carrier are we doing this incorrectly or is it just the carrier? Will take any feed back at all thank you.

26 modifier

If you own the machine and it is an "office" setting, no modifier is needed.

Modifiers 26 and TC are to indicate to did only the professional OR technical portion of the procedure. If you do both components, you should bill the code once, WITHOUT a modifier.
