Billing for J1071 Code

How are you billing for your testosterone patients and what is all the procedure codes used? The reimbursement has gone down since the J1080 was changed to J1071. Just curious how others are billing and what procedure codes are you guys using for each visit.

Make sure that if you are giving 200 mg to bill 200 units. 1 unit=1 mg

re: Billing for J1071 Code

We use whatever office the visit the documentation supports. If it is a nursing visit we use 96372 and not 99211.

Thanks again.....Im just hoping we aren't missing something. We bill for the documentation that supports it. The main codes that are used are the 99212, 99213 and then the testosterone injection and med. Are we missing anything?
