re: Bundling

My question is why are you charging an office visit for the application of a short leg cast? if that's the only reason the patient was being seen, then you should not be billing for an office visit. Further more if the patient is being seen/treated by the provider for a fx of the leg he/she would be in global for 90 days for the fracture. Unless the patient was seen for a seperatly identifiable DX not related to the FX, your should not be billing an office visit. read or google the guidelines for fracture care and you should be able to find the answers. They are also in the CPT® 2015 manual under the musculoskeletal system. So the answer is no, you should not be billing for the office visit:)
