Inpatient psychotherapy codes

The doctor that I bill for was questioning whether I
could use 99232 and 99233 for coding his in-patient pysche patients.

In other words if the patient is just an inpatient in a
Behavioral Health unit can we use those codes or should I use

The psychiatrist may bill using subsequent hospital visits for patients on an inpatient unit.
