Hospital charges

My provider went to see a patient this morning. He charged 99291, but then was called back on the same day in the afternoon, as the patient got worse. He did a cvp line (36556) and he wants to charge the critical care again (99291). I advised him I could only charge the cvp placement, but he stated to charge the e&m code. Can someone tell me if there is another e&m code I could charge when he see the patient again on the same day? Thank you.
