Incision & drainage

Doc did I & D of hematoma on the shoulder on 9-29-14. Pt came back on 10-6-14 for f/u. Doc checked it & end up excising the lesion. The lesion came out to be Basal cell carcinoma. So, I have to bill the excision-malignant lesion (11600-11606) with modifier 24 since its under the 10 day global period?

Be sure the 24 modifier is attached to the E/M. Then you will also need the 25 modifier. Or if you are planning on billing it as a post op with procedure you can use the modifier 79 to indicate this procedure has nothing to do with the previous procedure.
