Modifier 24

I have a question.

A patient comes in for follow up of surgery. While being examined the provider documents that the patient also has diagnoses unrelated to the surgery. Can we bill for a visit with modifier 24? He list an unrelated dx first, then the related dx with another unrelated dx as the third reason for visit.

You would bill the unrelated office visit with unrelated dx with modifier modifier 24. The related dx's should be billed with the post op 99024. An EP visit and post op visit can be billed on the same dos.
