Fresh Start

Good Evening

I just enrolled into a billing and coding degree program at UMA. This is a new goal of mine and I just would like to ask you for your honest opinion. With the major changes that's happening in the health care arena, do think this is a good idea?

re: Fresh Start

If it is your goal, achieve it. Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life. Regardless of the multitude of changes, healthcare will never become obsolete as there will always be patients to treat. There are so many aspects of healthcare in which you can find a niche as well as a rewarding career. Your challenge will be finding exactly where you fit in, learning your market area as it relates to your goals, don't ever get boxed in, be open and flexible above all, thrive & be your absolute best! Kudos to you for setting a goal and endeavoring to achieve it. As you embark on your program, keep an open mind, stay current...read, read, and read, get a mentor, & volunteer if possible. Best wishes!

Health care jobs are booming. Coders are always in demand and with that knowledge you can branch out into different jobs within health care.
