Flex vs colonoscopy

Failed colon due to patient not being clean bill as 45378-52 or flex 45330. Does it matter which?

How far did the surgeon get? Did he get past the sigmoid colon and into the descending colon? I was told that since the surgeon started the procedure off as a colonoscopy, you should bill 45378-52. Especially if he got into the descending colon, I would definitely use the 45378-52.
