How to code IUD's

This is the first time our practice has used IUD's. I am getting denials on my first one i coded. I used code: 58300 and J7302 do i need any specail modifer with these two codes? Some one please help! Thanks

Were both denied? What was the reason given for the denial? Does the patient have this type of coverage/benefit? Did it need to be pre-authorized?

Yes they were both denied due to invalid or missing modifier. Yes the pt has coverage for this type of procedure. Yes it was pre authorizied.
