Can an FNA 10022 be billed with an E&M?

The patient is known to the physician and patient is in the office specifically for the FNA and has no other complaints. Can an E&M be billed? The MD billed 99211-25 modifier and FNA 10022 with 76942 US guidance.

There are no global days associated with this code I dont see why it would be bundling, but i would make sure you have documentation to support the level of service provided.

No, do not bill a nurse visit with this procedure.

If this is the visit at which the physician evaluated the problem, and then decided to do the procedure, bill an E/M and procedure. If the procedure was scheduled as a result of a previous visit, bill only for the procedure.
