What code should I bill if patient is at the clinic for chemotherapy that lasts 23 hours or more?

Did the patient have an infusion that lasted 23 hours, or was the patient at the clinic 23 hours?

Tell us what drugs were infused for how long.

The patient was at the clinic for 23 hours, but the infusions lasted 1h for Doxetaxel, and 2 hours for Cisplastin.

You can only code the actual "times" for infusion. Example 96413 and 96415.

I was glad to hear the infusions didn't last the whole 23 hours!

If the patient had the service in an MD's office, there's no facility charge. In an outpatient department of the hospital, or in a provider based MD office, there is a charge for the facility.
