What code would you use when giving an injection of Aranesp during chemotherapy? We always used 96372 but recently one of our local insurers is refusing to reimburse this code.

96372 is the correct code. Maybe they have not updated their Therapeutic injection codes or maybe your diagnosis is inaccurate. Must state developed anemia due to chemotherapy. On October 1, 2009 you will have a new diagnosis code for this purpose, code 285.3 Antineoplastic chemotherapy induced anemia
