Submitted Post Op Visits with Claim

Would it be appropriate to submit post-op visits with a claim at no charge just to document the visit?

Submitting post op visits on claim

Most groups post the 99024 (which has 0 RVUs and isn't paid separately) but don't submit it to the insurance company. It would not be a compliance issue to submit it, because you won't be paid separately. If your system can allow you to post them without submitting them, that would be preferable.

Some of these visits will be weeks after the procedure, and you will already have billed for the procedure. If you bill them, they'll be denied and someone will have to look at the denials to be sure. It seems like extra work/expense to me.
