Patient 10 days post c-section with drainage from her incision. There is some minimal serosanguineous drainage. Would the correct code be O99.89 with Z48.816?

If you look further into the O codes you will see there is a more specific code thanO99.89 - Other specified diseases and conditions complicating pregnancy, childbirth and the puerperium. There is a code specifically for the disruption of a cesarean delivery wound, see O90.0.

Yes Z48.89 is used for surgical aftercare since there is no specific code for C-sections aftercare, Z48.89 could be used.
