Pap smear

Pt is new to our practice & has Molina Medicaid. Pt came in for annual gynecological exam. Do I have to use the S0610 or the G0101? I am confuse. Thanks!

State Medicaid programs have their own rules. for correct coding, type G0101 or well woman or preventive medicine in the search box.

For our state Medicaid plans, we have several in Az....normally we bill a (example)
99396-25 with a V70.0 dx code
Q0091 V76.2
G0101 V76.2, V76.10


and on some of our medicaid plans we have to use a 59 modifier on the q0091.....hope this helps a little.

If a medicare replacement plan than we use a G0402, G0438 or G0439 for the office visit with the Q and G code.
