OV with a Proc Coding

I'm new to this and have no certification so I would appreciate any help. If doc does a 99213 with a proc which line item goes first? The OV or the Proc?

OV with a Proc Coding

OV goes first. Be sure to add the proper modifier in order to get it paid. In most cases, this will probably be a -25 modifier, but it may vary depending on prior procedures. More information would be necessary to determine that. Hope this helps.

modifer 25 is only used if the procedure provided is attached to another diagnosis...If you are doing a procedure for the same dx as the office visit you do not use 25.
