Delivery and subsequent visits

Doctor 1 delivers, doctor 2 does the subsequent visits while patient is in the hospital after delivery, both belonging to the same group can doctor 2 bill for subsequent visit? Is this to the discretion of the insurance company as BCBS did pay a subsequent visit to another physician, same group just different delivering doctor.
