Qx on billing 2 Trigger point injections, 40mg of Depo medrol and reporting to NDC

Happy Wednesday!

My doctor did 2 trigger point inj one on each hip and injected 40 mg of Depo medrol in to each hip, I am a little unsure on how to bill this and reporting NDC numbers for Jcodes.

J1030 x2 units on claim and then on additional info where you report NDC # 2 national drug units?
any suggestions would help.

You can only bill 20552 once along with your 2 units of J1030.

Injection(s); single or multiple trigger point(s), 1 or 2 muscle(s)

Per AMA Assistant, code 20552 is reported one time per session, regardless of the number of injections or muscles injected. Therefore, it would not be appropriate to report code 20552 twice.
