Two surgeons, same day

My surgeon is planning to coordinate a laparoscopic resection of mets preceeding another surgeons laparoscopic ablation 47370. They are different specialties and from different groups and do not intend to assist each other or do co-surgery. Our concern is that if this patients disease it too widespread for resection, my (the intitial) surgeon may end up only doing a dx laparoscopy 49320 which is a component of 47370. Will that put us into a problem or co-surgery billing situation even though they are being performed independently?
I know if I were on the other side of the check book I would wonder if this was really one surgeon opening (exposure) for the other. My surgeon says that it is definitely not the case.

Btw

I have read and printed your article on two surgeons. (i think #259) It is a great help and I am only still wondering because our code may end up being a component code.... just don't know if that changes anything.
