new psych code 90785

I'm wondering if its appropriate to use the add-on code 90785 for a pt visit that was considerably longer than most. The provider saw this patient for 90 minutes. Does that constitute as interactive? I've read when to use this code but am wondering if it would fall under "manage maladaptive communication related to high anxiety?" Also, provider states in his tx plan that it is a rather complicated case diagnostically.
