Scodes

What are the purpose of S codes if they are uncovered or unpayable? Do you ever use an Scode on a claim and when? Can there be a similar code that is billable or covered and do you use it instead of the S code?

S-Codes

We use S0610 & S0612 for Annual Gynecologic Visits (New/Established). We get reimbursed from BCBS and Aetna.
