cannot get the ekg g0403 paid on an IPPE

g0402 was coded on clinic visit and paid, the g0403 is charged thru the hospital and we cannot get it to pay. all other criteria of the IPPE have been met. Novitas is telling us this is no longer a covered benefit of the IPPE? should we be adding something to the claim for it to pay?

EKG is no longer a part of of the IPPE. You will have to bill a diagnostic EKG with a valid diagnosis.
