Drug Screen coding change
Previously we were billing 80101 x 8 units. The new code 80300 should only be billed with 1 unit - is this correct? Has a reimbursement value been assigned for 80300 and 80301?
re: Drug Screen coding change
My understanding is that 80300 should only be billed once as it encompasses an unset number of drugs. However, this code is being rejected at my clearinghouse as invalid. I am stumped. 80300 is the only new code I can find, info says it became active on 1/1/15 but it still won't go through. Same with the new code J1071 (testosterone cypionate). I am stumped. Hopefully someone will give us some insight.
