Excision

We had a patient present to the office with multiple "knots" in his leg. We sent him for testing to rule out DVT, etc. Tests were negative.
We attempted to send to a surgeon, but he could not get in for days. Our doc then excised one of the "knots". It was 1.5 cm and required only 5 stitches.
What would the appropriate CPT® code be for this procedure?
