Sleep Studies

Hello! I have a question about sleep studies. Our director is wanting to bill sleep studies split out between the professional and technical component versus the global procedure due to the fact that it "will make it easier if they want to segregate the revenue in the future (for example, the reading goes to Pulmonary and the TC goes to MX sleep lab)". My question is, shouldn't it be billed as global if that is what they are providing, even though the technical and professional components may be performed on separate days? Any guidance would be appreciated! Thank you!
