Help on selection of Place of Service

If a provider is providing "preventive screenings" at a local retail store, where he/she is given an office space to bring medical equipment to do the screenings. In order to bill for these services to insurance carriers, what would be the appropriate code for place of service?

Thank you in advance for this assistance.

re: Help on selection of Place of Service

POS code 17 is: “a walk-in health clinic, other than an office, urgent care facility, pharmacy or independent clinic and not described by any other Place of Service code, that is located within a retail operation and provides on an ambulatory basis, preventative and primary care services.”

re: Help on selection of Place of Service

Thank you for this information. This will be the first time submitting a claim using POS 17. Are there any tips on proper submission? For example, can I use the company's main office address in box 32-CMS1500 form or does it need to be tied to actually address of retail center?
